Got a line on a spare bear boat boom or good repair/fabrication source?

We've got a crack in the boom that's developed over time on Camembert #57.

Currently waiting on a phone call back from John B. at the South End Rowing Club, who knows my buddy Noah Taylor. We've got one estimate so far of 6-7 hours plus material to build a new one.

Any ideas or thoughts you or other bear owners might have or help you can provide would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

We ran into this fellow at a couple of marine swap meets. He has a decent
selection of standing and running rigging pieces.

Please help us with the restoration of Merry Bear Hull #1. She will be launched in SF on November 2!

We are looking for the following pieces, either to borrow and make casts from or as outright donations(tax deductible) to the park and the Merry Bear project.

Also - we were wondering what was the common color of decks in the early days. We are contemplating a Grnad Banks Beige for our canvas and felt deck. Is that proper, does anyone remember?
That's it. As you can see, the list is pretty long, and we could really use some help scaring all this stuff up. Again, even if we could get original stuff that we could borrow temporaily to make copies from we would be grateful.

Anybody who can help can contact me at John_C_Muir@nps.gov

We will be much obliged...
